Queen Anne Period Cushion Frame Looking Glass
Fine Queen Anne period Circa 1710 figured walnut and gilded cushion frame looking glass, retaining the original Vauxhall glass bevelled mirror plate. The Duke of Buckingham established a glass works in Circa 1660 at Vauxhall, South London, producing some of the first glass mirror plates in England, The factory long since closed is commemorated in the name Glasshouse Walk.
