Fine 19th Century parian bust of Sir Isaac Pitman (1813 – 1897) by the sculptor Sir Thomas Brock R.A. impressed T. Brock Sc 1887 on the reverse. Sir Isaac Pitman was a teacher of the English language and developed the most widely used system of shorthand, known now as Pitman shorthand. Perfect condition. Circa 1880
